Michael Coleman Obituary

Michael Coleman, age 53, was born on June 15, 1972 in Chicago, IL. Though he was a native of Chicago, Michael later made his home in Wausau, Wisconsin where he built a life filled with meaningful friendships and a family of love and support. Wausau became more than a place of residence, it became home and Michael was deeply loved by many there.

Michael was truly one of a kind. He was a natural jokester who had a gift for making people laugh if you were around Mike laughter was guaranteed. His smile, humor, and lighthearted spirit could brighten even the heaviest room. Our mother knew her child well and often said that Mike was good at anything he put his mind to. Whatever he did he did it with a confident heart and his own unique style. He lived in a way that left lasting memories and the joy he brought to others will never be forgotten. Mike’s laughter, love, and presence will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother and father: Velma Coleman and Charles Higgins, his sister Linda Guydon; his nephew: Jamell Coleman and his great nephew: Jamell Coleman Jr.

He leaves behind his Beloved daughter Breonna (Dywanta) Who was the light of his life and his cherished grandchildren Vaniya Emani Dywanta and Demi.

Michael is also survived by his loving siblings Sisters: Valerie (Terrence), Laneisha Higgins, and Cherlene Roberts both of Stuttgart, Arkansas; Brothers: Ronald Coleman and Jerome Coleman. He leaves a host of nieces and nephews who will forever carry his memory: Kenyatta, Tinesha, Charles, Tiara, Jerome, Jadla, Jerome and Jaylen along with many great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to his biological family Michael leaves behind the family he built in Wausau. Holly, Jada, Jarvis, and Keyshon Whose lives we’re deeply touched by his presence. He also leaves to cherish his memories best friend James Rhondes and two very special friends, Reann and Cassandra whose love and friendship meant so much to him.

Michael will be remembered for his warm spirit, his ability to connect with people from all walks of life and the love he freely gave to family and friends. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
