Elizabeth Fort

Elizabeth Fort was born on July 27,1970, in Chicago, Illinois to the beautiful Bessie Fort and Emmitt Marsh.

She was the oldest of Five Siblings. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her Sister Kimberly Fort, and Two of her beloved children, Carnesha Fort and Darnell Fort. She accepted Christ at an early Age.

Elizabeth, affectionately known as Candy, was known for her warm spirit, big heart, and her willingness to give to anyone in need. She had a loving personality that made everyone she met feel special. Candy had a passion for cooking and always hosted the best Thanksgivings. Her home was a place filled with love, laughter, and good food-the place everyone wanted to be.

Elizabeth's greatest joy in life was her family. She adored her children and cherished her grandchildren deeply- they were truly the light of her life.

Elizabeth leaves to cherish her memory: Her seven Children-Cortez (Whitney) Cornell, Terrell, Saniyah, Phinesha and her two children who preceded her in death, Carnesha and Darnell. She also leaves behind four sisters-Tawana( Ernie) Pamela (Kirk), Toni Marsh, and Lisa Martin-and one brother Johnny (Candace).

She was the proud grandmother of thirteen grandchildren: Cormiyah, Courtney, Cortez jr, Camila, Marshun, Deshawn ,Keith, Travonte, Dariana, Dj, Develle, Darnesha and Baby Boy Jacquez, as well as two great-grandchildren, Ariyan and Ave Unique Peterman.

She will be remember for her kindness, her laughter, and the unconditional love she gave to everyone around her .
